PuppyFat Founder Mike White was a panel speaker at the Petcare Innovation Summit 2022 – a two-day celebration of the thriving European pet care market, filled with talks, panel sessions and roundtables.
Mike joined Sam Worthy, CEO and Founder of Tailwise in a panel discussion on Bringing Pet Acquisition into the 21st Century.
“Breeders are the linchpins of the pet world but have been ignored by pet tech for too long. There’s no other group of individuals that have a bigger influence on the long-term health and welfare of pets”
“Our aim at PuppyFat is to empower breeders by creating an environment that elevates and support responsible breeding practices. At our core, we’re a comprehensive breeder management tool. But we’re also building a community where breeders can network, ask questions and stay up-to-date with the latest research on breeding.”

This year’s event was the fourth annual European Petcare Summit and brought together some of the most influential leaders in the industry, including Purina PetCare Europe, Mars Petcare, Zoetis, the Pet Food Manufacturers Association and Digitalis Ventures.
“In the wake of the petcare boom, the European pet care market shows no signs of slowing down and is forecast to reach $23 billion by 2025, bringing with it tremendous opportunities. Investment, partnerships, and acquisitions are happening like never before as insurance companies, multinationals, investors and mid-size brands are looking to add to their portfolios or partner with companies who can help them expand both geographically and vertically,” explains Petcare Innovation Summit on their website.
“A highlight for me was hearing from Fabien Desiage (Purina PetCare Europe) and Kim Bill (Purina Accelerator Lab) and their day two discussion on Driving the Future of Petcare Through Disruptive Innovation,” Mike adds.
“We worked with Purina during their 2021 Unleashed Accelerator programme and the team has given us an incredible springboard to help us improve our app and offering to our customers.”
