Born in 2021, The National Dog Breeder Convention has quickly become a cornerstone event in the dog breeding calendar.
Coinciding each year with November’s National Dog Breeder Day, this virtual conference offers a unique opportunity for experts, breeders and enthusiasts to get together for a week-long celebration and deep dive into the world of dog breeding.
About The National Dog Breeder Convention
The Convention was founded by our friends over at Pupstarts Breeders, a leading provider of dog breeding courses designed to empower ethical dog breeders to breed, whelp and raise better puppies:
“We set up The National Dog Breeder Convention to champion ethical and responsible dog breeders,” explains Rebecca Walters, Founder of The National Dog Breeder Convention and Pupstarts Breeders.
Championing ethical dog breeding
Rebecca is a 5-star licensed dog breeder and ex-licensing officer who is committed to changing the industry for good. By delivering quality dog breeding information, advice and education, she believes breeders can make a positive impact on the future of our next generation of dogs.
“Everyone in the dog breeding community gets tarred with the same brush. But, ethical and responsible dog breeders work incredibly hard and put our all into the dogs and puppies we share our lives with.”
The convention serves as a platform to highlight the dedication and passion of these breeders, aiming to separate them from the negative perceptions often associated with the industry.
Held in the thriving “The Whelping Box” community, the online conference sees a week of live speakers take to the virtual stage each evening.

Showcasing the dedication of breeders
The Convention is a powerful platform for bringing together the community and highlighting the dedication of breeders, as well as the importance of ethical practices in the industry.
“Pupstarts is a long-term partner of Breedera and has supported us throughout our journey developing our dog breeding app,” Mike White, Founder of Breedera adds.
“We are excited to attend The National Dog Breeder Convention as we always love talking to breeders about their practices and expanding our knowledge of the dog breeding world.
